Colorado Sale of Goods Lawyers
When it comes to cases regarding the purchase and sale of goods in Colorado, our business lawyers are ready. We call these Article 2 cases, as they are largely governed by the Uniform Commercial Code Article 2, which covers the Sale of Goods.
Article Two of the UCC is a wonder of legal elegance. It has evolved over the past 500 years from the law merchant in England and has come to be the primary law governing the sales of goods in every State in the Union, with only minor changes from State to State, hence the "Uniform" commercial code. It contains detailed rules for returns of goods, inspections, refunds, replacements, damages, offers, acceptances and most other common issues which crop up in the context of a sale of goods. At Williams Law, P.C., we are used to it and love it. We especially enjoy litigating under it. If you have a UCC Article 2 case or issue, call us.
We Litigate Non-Payments of Goods Under the UCC
By far the most common case we encounter under the Uniform Commercial Code is simple failure to pay for goods. This is almost always accompanied by a claim of defect or faulty workmanship, but they also can include being charged for the wrong colors, incorrect quantities, late shipments and many other cantankerous issues. Freight damage and insurance responsibilities also crop up, and we enjoy litigating these as well.
